Annmarie Parfitt - Childminding service
Ofsted Registered Childminder
Hello and welcome to my website.
My name is Annmarie, I am 41 and live in Plainmoor, Torquay with my husband Jamie, two children. aged 14 and 16 and two small Sausage dogs.
Looking for the right childcare can be a scary time for all, I understand that it can be a difficult decision for parents to go out to work leaving the most precious things in their lives. I can help take some of that pressure off by giving you a warm,  friendly, happy place for your children to attend. I welcome families just to come round and have a look, ask about any information and encourage parents to visit as many childcare places as possible to find the best place to suit both child and parents.
I can offer a homely envirnoment which is tailored to each individual child and family.
I regularly attend Safeguarding and early years training which shows i am committed to providing high quality childcare and have been awarded an Good in all area's by Ofsted
About Us
I have a bright and clean 3 bedroom home with a separate dining/playroom..
Children have free access to a wide range of toys and books, activities are planned to include each child's interests.
We enjoy outings every day when possible to places such as soft play, parks, the zoo, playgroup, just to name a few, all of which are included in the fee.
We meet up with other childminders for days out and playgroups so children get to make and play with lots of friends.
I work with children from birth to 12+ years.
Children age 0-5 are cared for within the Early years foundation stage (EYFS)
As a childminder it is my responsibility that children recieve the best possible care  under the EYFS.
The EYFS covers four main principles
Theme: A Unique Child
Principle: Every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
Theme: Positive Relationships
Principle: Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and/or a key person.
Theme: Enabling Environments
Principle: The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning.
Theme: Learning And Development
Principle: Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and all areas of Learning and Development are equally important and interconnected.
